The Survey Instrument Person will carry out a range of surveying assignments and assist the Survey Party Chief as directed to conduct land surveys of roads, bridges, and buildings sites. The IP establishes and re-establishes lines for construction stakeout surveys, recovers property corners and sets traverse control points for boundary surveys all via electronic platforms. The IP directs the survey party during the absence of the party chief and when acting for the Survey Party Chief. Responsibilities include data collecting and GPS tracking.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience utilizing survey equipment and data collectors (Carson, Trimble, etc.).
- Willingness to travel and/or do night work.
- All candidates must have a clean driving record.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience doing field survey work.
- Surveying-related degree (normally an Associate's).
